Option 1

Meet with a Special Needs Advisor

  • Recommended for families of children with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities, in the transition ages of 14-21, who need help navigating the maze of available services and
  • Special Needs Advisors provide advice on benefits, resources and potential obstacles to families and individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities to achieve a desired level of independence. The meeting typically results in an achievable action plan for clients to execute on their own or with help from the Special Needs Advisor and/or professional resources such as a financial planner, attorney,

An action plan may include, but is not limited to, applying for State/Federal benefits, guardianship vs. supported decision-making, Medicare/Medicaid, and other recommendations

Option 2

Meet with a Financial Advisor

  • Recommended for families of children with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities and/or self-advocating individuals who don’t require assistance with services or
  • A Financial Advisor listens to a client’s financial goals. A meeting typically results in a financial review and follow-up meetings to explain a comprehensive action plan to achieving or managing financial
  • The action plan may include, but is not limited to, advice on saving accounts and investments, and insurance. Clients may choose from as needed or monthly support to maintain their

 

Option 3

Meet with a Special Needs Advisor and a Financial Advisor

  • Recommended for families of children with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities and/or self-advocating individuals who need help identifying available services and resources while solidifying their financial
  • The Special Needs Advisor will create a custom, recommended action plan for the client and refer the client to a Financial Advisor to help execute the action plan. Each Advisor will meet separately with the
